Celebrate Shavuot w/ Adas YPs, Dinner & Discussion

We’ll gather for good food (pay your own way-style) and some bite-sized Torah that’ll get you thinking and connecting with those at your table. Then we’ll walk or Metro over to Adas together for a night of Shavuot programming, deep dives, and sweet treats. Come anytime starting at 5pm - you can join in for dinner and discussions whenever you arrive for this gathering. We’ll head out together around 6:30pm to get to Adas before programming at 7pm. Shavuot is the day when the Jewish people received the Torah – our central source of sustenance and map for our peoplehood. It marks the exact moment when the Israelites transformed from a band of wandering refugees escaping Egypt (in Hebrew, Mitzrayim, literally meaning a “narrow place”) into a people with self-determination, a collective purpose, a promised land (Israel), a communal identity, and a covenant with one God. Shavuot marks the day we transitioned from a scrappy start-up concept to an enterprise. Dinner will be at a restaurant in the Van Ness neighborhood of DC. The exact location will be provided to registrants. Note: the restaurant is not a kosher restaurant.
