In a time when conversations about Israel and the Jewish world can feel charged, emotional, or even impossible, this 90-minute interactive workshop offers practical tools for engaging across differences with confidence, curiosity, and care. Led by Abi Dauber Sterne, co-founder of For the Sake of Argument (FSA), the workshop invites participants to practice having meaningful, respectful disagreements — not just talk about them. Using carefully crafted stories that provoke differing perspectives on issues central to Israel and the Jewish world, participants will experience what it truly means to engage in a “healthy argument.” About: For the Sake of Argument is an educational initiative with Israel education at its core. FSA’s methodology centers on storytelling as a way to surface disagreement and teach skills for constructive dialogue. Participants learn clear intentions for both speakers and listeners, helping transform disagreement into an opportunity for learning and connection. Fee: $15 JCC members/$20 Non-members. This event is sponsored by The Jewish Federation of Greater Washington.
