Intro To Jewish Mysticism- First Session

Wednesdays (March 4, 18, and 25) from 2-3:30 p.m. at Temple Micah What is "Jewish" about Jewish mysticism? What is "mystical" about Jewish mysticism? The answers take studying, puzzling over, and then reflecting on the texts. This three-session course will: 1. Present in translation some texts of the Jewish mystical tradition 2. Help us reach an understanding of these texts without having to search for learned footnotes 3. Discuss general questions about the nature of Jewish mysticism This class will take place in person only
