Once Upon My Mother is a profound and uplifting French family drama that spans decades, following the journey of a Jewish Moroccan immigrant determined to see her youngest son flourish despite physical disability. Adapted from Roland Perez’s autobiographical “Ma Mère, Dieu Et Sylvie Vartan,” the film blends sweet sincerity with sharp humor, set to the style and music of 1960s Paris. Opening night reception held before the EDCJCC screening beginning at 6:30 PM, with Moroccan tea service generously provided by the Embassy of Morocco; catered coffee and tea service will follow the screening.
