Tisha B'Av Services & Activities

Schedule: Wednesday, July 22 — Maariv & chanting Eicha at 8:00 PM. Ma'ariv will be followed by chanting the book of Eicha (Lamentations); lights will be dimmed during chanting (please bring a flashlight or candle). Thursday, July 23 — Morning service at 7:30 AM (includes special Torah and Haftarah readings). Evening events (co-sponsored with Minyan Segulah): Mincha 7:30 PM; learning session with Rabbi Scott Slarsky at 8:00 PM; Maariv & Havdalah 8:55 PM; Break Fast at 9:09 PM (registration required — link on page; registration closes Monday, July 20 at 3 PM). Tisha B'Av is a fast day commemorating tragedies in Jewish history; traditions include chanting Lamentations and singing songs of mourning and hope.
