Washington Hebrew Congregation (WHC) hosts a vibrant young adult community known as 2239, serving Jewish professionals aged 22 to 39. This group gathers multiple times a month for Metro Minyan-style Kabbalat Shabbat services with “Shot of Torah” learning and dinner, plus social events like Havdalah yoga, wine tastings, laser tag, and Nats outings. 2239 also celebrates all major Jewish holidays together, providing accessible, musical, and egalitarian worship alongside fun and volunteer-focused programming.
