Better Nature: A Tu B’Shvat Seder and Dinner

January 24 @ 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm

$18

Celebrate the New Year of the Trees with a Tu B’Shvat seder, a ritual that began with the Kabbalists of the 16th century. At our seder led by Rabbi Nora, you’ll dive into nature-inspired texts to discover connections between environmentalism and Judaism and explore the symbolism behind the fruit, nuts, and four cups of wine we enjoy on this holiday. You’ll also get to hear from Casey Trees and JUFJ, organizations tackling climate issues, about how you can get involved in local environmental justice movements. Dinner and fruitful conversation to follow.
