A Night at the Theater Exploring: Humanity, Connection, The Soul (EDCJCC X the Den)

Join the Den for a night at Theatre J—a project of the Edlavitch DC JCC. We will see Your Name Means Dream, José Rivera’s poignant play that explores the evolving relationship between an aging woman, Aislin, and her AI caregiver, Stacy, as they navigate questions of humanity, connection, and the soul. Blending magical realism with science fiction, the production examines what it truly means to be alive when the boundaries between human and machine begin to blur.
Following the performance, a post-show conversation with Rabbi Emmanuel will explore Jewish wisdom and values as powerful tools to unpack the challenges and possibilities of AI.
