This class meets Tuesdays, March 11 – June 3 from 6:30 – 8:30 pm. There will not be class on April 15. Class will meet in-person on March 11 and June 3, and the rest of the class will be virtual.
Demystify the Hebrew alphabet as you learn the letters and vowels and how to combine them to crack the code of reading Hebrew. This course, taught by certified language instructor Keren Yairi, is for those with little to no prior Hebrew reading ability and emphasizes reading from the prayer book and words from Jewish cultural life. Come prepared to attend class regularly and to spend 20 minutes daily on home practice.
Participants are responsible for purchasing their textbook, either at the time of registration through Sixth & I (while supplies last) or independently.

About the Instructor
Keren Yairi is a certified language instructor who has taught Hebrew as well as English literacy and English as Second/Other Language. She has also served as a consultant on education, language, and literacy projects.
