Jewish Creativity Book Club and Practice

February 25 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm

$36 – $45

What does it mean to be creative? What can creativity teach us about Judaism and what can Jewish wisdom teach us about creativity? In this four part series, we will use diverse written works as a jumping off point to explore our own creativity. We will engage with the wisdom of creatives across history, from secular to deeply spiritual. Facilitated by Rabbi Atara Cohen, Director of Jewish Life, we will combine discussion and putting ideas into practice by creating our own art.

This group will meet in person at the Edlavitch DCJCC on Tuesday evenings, February 25-March 18. Open to anyone curious about making art and any Jewish learning background, from beginners to professionals. Scans or copies of all texts, art supplies, and snacks will be provided. Full books may be optionally purchased from any major bookseller. If you have any questions, please reach out to Rabbi Atara at acohen@edcjcc.org.
