MLK Service Day at the J
January 26 @ 11:00 am - 1:00 pm
Join us for a meaningful and impactful Martin Luther King, Jr Day of Service (MLK) at the JCC. Honoring the legacy of MLK, we invite you to give back to the community, while making new friends, and learning together.
Adults, Teens and Tweens: Join us at 11am to participate in one of two services projects.
- Building Garden Boxes for the Community Garden: Help us create beautiful, sustainable garden boxes that will contribute to a NEW JCC community garden, providing fresh produce to those in need.
- Making Fleece Blankets for Hospice Patients: Share comfort and warmth by crafting cozy fleece blankets for hospice patients, bringing a sense of love and care during a difficult time.
We will wrap the event by eating and socializing together at lunch at 12:30pm.
Whether you enjoy building things or are a craft enthusiast, there’s a project for you to enjoy. This morning is about coming together, making an impact, and honoring the spirit of service. No experience necessary—just bring your enthusiasm and a willingness to contribute!
