About This Event

As we continue with our theme of America's 250 anniversary, we explore the relationships between Democracy and Judaism. The program will feature a discussion with Temple Rodef Shalom Senior Rabbi Amy Schwartzman, Rabbi Michael Holzman, Senior Rabbi of Northern Virginia Hebrew Congregation and founder of Faith 250, and Aaron Dorfman, executive director of A More Perfect Union: The Jewish Partnership for Democracy. We will examine the unique American Jewish relationship to our democracy, explore the nature of the threats we face, and consider how to respond to them with the seriousness and fortitude they demand. A More Perfect Union works to support, convene, and mobilize the more than 6,000 American Jewish organizations in a collaborative effort to protect and strengthen American democracy.
