Montgomery County Board of Education Candidate Forum

Join us Monday, October 12 at 7:00 PM to hear from the candidates running in contested races for the Montgomery County Board of Education: Brenda Diaz and Omar Lazo are vying for an at-large seat, while Sally McCarthy and Cassandra Sung are seeking to represent District 3. Audience members will be invited to submit questions. If you are unable to attend, the forum will be livestreamed and recorded. Both the forum location and the livestream link will be shared in advance with all registrants, so please sign up whether you plan to attend in person or virtually. Registration is required by Thursday, October 8th. JCRC Chief Operating Officer Guila Franklin Siegel will moderate the discussion, which will focus on issues of importance to the Jewish community, including the increase in school-based antisemitism and how Jewish culture and history are taught in the curriculum.
