Service as a Mitzvah: Honoring Those Who Serve

Service as a Mitzvah: Honoring Those Who Serve – A Family Afternoon of Giving Back Sunday, November 8 | 3:00–5:00 PM Turn gratitude into action! Inspired by Veterans Day and the Jewish value of service, this family-friendly afternoon invites kids and parents to discover how people serve their communities in the United States and Israel, and why serving others is one of the most meaningful mitzvot. Then it’s time to roll up our sleeves: together, families will pack Hanukkah care packages for American and Israeli soldiers, sending a little light and a lot of love to those who serve. Bring a pair of new socks to add to the packages! In partnership with FIDF and Sword of Iron Israel Volunteer Corps | Children ages 8+ with their parents | Please bring a pair of new socks | Location: Pozez JCC | Cost: Free, RSVP required
